Trail Head Cyclery Dirt Demo

May 4 @ 12:00 pm - May 6 @ 4:00 pm

$40

Our Fall 2017 Dirt Demo happened! Three days of radness. Nov. 10th,11th and 12th we were back out in Santa Teresa County Park slinging the best darn mountain bikes ever with Ibis Cycles, Specialized, YETI Cycles and Transition Bikes! Cost was $40 for a day pass which provided you access to ride as many bikes as you could, eat as many tacos as you could and then you get the $40 back in the form of a store credit! Whoa, talk about supporting your mountain bike community, eh? (And we handed out over 1400 tacos!)

We’re already doing the permit work for the next one, pending for May 4th, 5th and 6th!

For the Spring Dirt Demo we will again have the support of Specialized’s huge trailer of bikes and the amazing Ibis Sprinter Van & trailer. YETI and Transition will be making the journey as well, so the big trailer from Golden Colorado and that fun Transition crew from Bellingham Washington will be bringing loads of bikes including the new stuff. What new stuff? Well, it’s a little too early for us to be talking about any of that stuff,,,

+ You need to bring a valid form of ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) with a matching credit card that we will hold for the day while you enjoy riding.

+ You also need to bring a helmet and any standard riding gear.

+ We have lots of pedals, but there is always the chance we could come up short at times… So, we always encourage folks to bring their pedals if they can. Just try to help us remember to give ’em back! We mark all of our pedals, but some may not be.

The trails here are pretty awesome. There’s something for everybody, from smooth singletrack to technical rocky sections, steep ass switchbacks or mellow jeep roads. A lot of regulars here wear armor over their knees and/or elbows for good measure, but very few full face helmets. It’s not that gnarly, but there are no soft landings! Unless folks simply planed to ride the super mellow jeep roads, we recommended being prepared for real mountain biking and not be fooled by the County Park status 🙂 Speaking of County Parks, parking in the park is $6 last I checked, so carpool if you can.

DATES & TIMES: Did you notice this was three days?
05.04.2018 FRIDAY – HIGH NOON until 4 PM
05.05.2018 – SATURDAY – 9 AM through 4 PM
05.06.2018 – SUNDAY – 9 AM through 4 PM

BIKES – BIKES – BIKES: Well over 100 bikes to choose from folks…
SPECIALIZED – IBIS CYCLES – YETI CYCLES – TRANSITION BIKES (Factory fleets as well as our own quiver!)

GEAR – GEAR – GEAR : Not just bikes folks, but all sorts of gear to check out too from
KALI PROTECTIVES, FOX HEAD, FOX RACING SHOX, TROY LEE DESIGNS, 5.10

TACOS – TACOS – TACOS: ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ONLY… Once again, we will have King Taco serving up the tastiest street tacos, keeping you fueled for multiple laps! Many other snacks are provided as well, from fruit to bars, cookies and such. We also have snacks for Friday, just no tacos… Bummer.

DEALS – DEALS – DEALS : These are not your average bikes, and therefore they do not have average prices. However, we will have some incredible deals out there.

LOCAL – LOCAL – LOCAL : Last note here… We are a local shop, with local employees and put everything back into our local cycling community. It’s not easy and we would all really appreciate your business. From the Flow Trail in SDF to the San Jose Bike Park, Trail Head Cyclery is busting out to make riding here great. If folks choose to buy outside this area, then we can’t continue to support these causes and become a lame bike store. I will not do that folks, so please think of the local shop that supports you when pulling the trigger. Thank you!
